Cambodia's Agri-Fintech Startup konektAgri Secures Investment from Plug and Play

KonektAgri, a Cambodian agri-fintech startup, has secured investment from US venture capital firm Plug and Play, the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications announced on July 21, 2026. The investment was made on June 19, 2026, as part of a digital startup acceleration and development program, following a similar investment in another digital startup, Bamnang. This investment highlights the success of the program in supporting Cambodian digital startups to attract investment from international investors and contribute to strengthening the digital startup ecosystem in Cambodia. KonektAgri has developed agriKredit™, a credit scoring and risk management system for the agricultural sector. It integrates financial data with agricultural data, including satellite imagery, weather data, agricultural land location, and digital identity verification (e-KYC). This enables financial institutions to make more accurate and efficient credit decisions. Nithyasri Manikandan, Senior Investment Manager at Plug and Play, stated that konektAgri is building a data platform and risk assessment system that responds to the needs of agricultural finance in developing markets.
