Indonesian Minister Sends Letter of Appreciation and Encouragement to Civil Servants
Indonesia's Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform has sent a letter to all national civil servants (ASN) expressing gratitude for their daily dedication and urging them to maintain integrity and professionalism amidst high public expectations. The minister lauded their role in challenging circumstances and emphasized their contribution to future generations.
The Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform of Indonesia, Rini Widyantini, has sent a letter to all national civil servants (ASN) across the country, expressing her respect and gratitude for their unwavering service to the community. In her letter, shared on the official Instagram account @menpanrb, the minister acknowledged the challenges ASN face, stating, "Today, I want to greet you as a fellow human being carrying a great trust. I know not all days feel easy." She recognized that despite limitations and high public expectations, ASN continue to serve the public with dedication. "Know that your presence signifies trust and worship," she wrote, emphasizing the profound meaning of their public service. The minister understood that not all hard work receives applause and not all sacrifices are reported, but she encouraged them to persevere. "However, every child who receives a better education, every patient served with sincerity, every aid that reaches the community, every road built, every data managed correctly – all of these are the real face of a working nation," she stated. "The nation is present through your hands." Rini urged all ASN to remain focused on fulfilling their significant national mandate amidst various challenges and opportunities for great leaps forward. She believes that challenges should be viewed as motivators for the spirit of service, and that professionalism is proven and dedication finds its meaning precisely during times of great difficulty. "The history of this nation was not built by those who worked only when circumstances were easy. History is built by those who stood firm, continued to work, and believed that the good deeds done today would become a legacy for the next generation," she said. The minister expressed her conviction that many civil servants work silently, without spotlight or praise, yet with extraordinary dedication. She concluded by encouraging them to "continue to be ASN who are AKHLAK (ethical, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, respectful). Continue to maintain integrity, improve competence, strengthen each other, and provide quality services." Source: CNN Indonesia
