LPA off Palawan to bring rains across parts of PH

A low pressure area (LPA) being monitored inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression but will bring rains over parts of the country on Thursday, according to the state weather bureau. In its 5 a.m. weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA is not expected to directly affect the country as a storm. However, it may bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to some areas. Residents in low-lying and mountainous areas are advised to be alert for possible flash floods and landslides.
