Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has led a preparatory meeting for the first rehearsal, scheduled for September 26, to ensure the smooth organization of the 20th Francophonie Summit in 2026. The meeting took place on September 9 at the Ministry's headquarters. Uot Sela, Under Secretary of State and President of Sub-Committee 2 for Protocol and Hospitality, presided over the discussion. Participants included representatives from Sub-Committee 4 for Security, Order, and Rescue; Sub-Committee 3 for Media and Dissemination; and various working groups and relevant officials from Sub-Committee 2 for Protocol and Hospitality. They engaged in detailed discussions regarding the plan for the rehearsal. The Francophonie Summit is a significant international gathering of leaders from French-speaking countries. Cambodia's role as host presents an opportunity to enhance its international standing.
