Prabowo Meets Coalition Elite at PAN's 28th Anniversary Event
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto attended the 28th-anniversary event of the National Mandate Party (PAN) in Jakarta, meeting with leaders from various coalition parties. The event served as a crucial opportunity to reaffirm the unity of the ruling coalition following his inauguration.
President Prabowo Subianto was welcomed by the leaders and elite members of the coalition parties upon his arrival at the arena for the 28th anniversary of the National Mandate Party (PAN) at JCC, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday (18/9) night. Prabowo arrived around 19:00 WIB, wearing a brown batik with blue motifs. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, who arrived earlier, was seen joining the welcome for Prabowo. Prabowo was accompanied by the Chairman of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan, also known as Zulhas. Also present to welcome Prabowo were the Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) and senior Gerindra politician, Ahmad Muzani, and the Speaker of the Regional Representative Council (DPD), Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin. Prabowo then shook hands with each of the party leaders present at the occasion. Among them were the Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Muhaimin Iskandar, the President of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Al Muzammil Yusuf, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Utut Adianto, and the Secretary-General of the Democratic Party, Herman Khaeron. Prabowo then took his seat, flanked by Gibran and Sultan Najamuddin. PAN is now a strategic coalition partner in Prabowo's "Merah Putih" cabinet. PAN has been a loyal coalition partner of Prabowo since the 2014 Presidential Election. Currently, several PAN officials hold positions in the "Merah Putih" cabinet under Prabowo's leadership, including PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, who serves as the Coordinating Minister for Food. Besides Zulhas, several other PAN elites have joined the cabinet, such as Yandri Susanto as the Minister of Villages and Dudy Purwagandhi as the Minister of Transportation. Furthermore, in the deputy ministerial ranks, Bima Arya Sugiarto has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, and Viva Yoga Mauladi as the Deputy Minister of Transmigration. Zita Anjan, Zulhas's daughter, also serves as the President's Special Envoy for Tourism.
