Warning to Cambodian Travelers: Stricter Regulations on Cash Carry-in to Vietnam

This regulation applies to Cambodian citizens carrying significant amounts of cash when visiting Vietnam. Given the active land border crossings between Cambodia and Vietnam, many Cambodians cross the border carrying cash for business or personal reasons. This incident underscores the importance for such travelers to verify local laws and regulations regarding cash import and export in advance and to follow the appropriate procedures. The Cambodian government should enhance its provision of information regarding the laws and regulations of destination countries to prevent its citizens from encountering legal troubles abroad.
