Vietnam Aviation Academy Sees Significant Score Hikes in Aviation STEM Fields

Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) has announced its admission scores for the 2026 academic year, based on the High School Graduation Exam. Many programs have seen their cut-off scores increase by 4-6 points, with the "Air Traffic Management (English Program)" achieving the highest score at 27.5 points. Specialized aviation engineering disciplines such as Air Traffic Management, Air Traffic Management Systems, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering have seen scores ranging from 24 to 27.5, a rise of 0.5-1.5 points compared to last year. Conversely, programs like Marketing, Financial Technology, Digital Economy, Chinese Language, Korean Language, and Hospitality Management all had the lowest score of 18 points. Notably, the Marketing program experienced a significant drop of 6.5 points, from 24.5 to 18. In contrast, aviation-related STEM fields, including Airport Construction and Development, Airport Management and Operations, AI and IoT Applied Electronics, AI and Telecommunications Electronics, and Airport Automation Electrical Engineering, saw their admission scores increase by 4-6 points. The academy plans to recruit over 6,800 students for the 2026 academic year through four main admission methods: the High School Graduation Exam, academic transcripts, the National University of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi's aptitude tests, and international certificates (SAT, ACT, IB). The estimated tuition fees for the 2026 intake are approximately 34.1 to 66.5 million Vietnamese Dong per year.
