Pertamina Expands Breezon Market as Freon Substitute for Household Sector
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga is expanding the market for its eco-friendly refrigerant, Breezon. Previously focused on B2B and industrial sectors, the company now aims to penetrate the retail market, targeting hotels, restaurants, cafes (Horeka), and household consumers.
BANTUL - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) is expanding the market reach of its environmentally friendly refrigerant product, Breezon. Director of Retail Marketing of PPN, Eko Ricky Susanto said, the products produced at the Plaju Refinery are no longer limited to the business-to-business (B2B) and industrial segments, but have begun to target to penetrate the retail market, ranging from the hotel, restaurant, and cafe (Horeka) sectors to household consumers. "This is also currently we are developing this market to enter not only the B2B sector or to the industry but also to the Horeka sector and the household sector in retail," said Eko to the media when met at the Rewulu Fuel Terminal, Bantul, Friday, September 11. Eko explained that this step was taken to capture the considerable market potential in the retail sector, including for vehicle air conditioning (AC) applications and various other supporting needs. According to him, the presence of Breezon is part of Pertamina's product diversification strategy in supporting the national energy transition agenda through the provision of more environmentally friendly solutions. In addition, this expansion also opens up room for companies to optimize the added value of energy derivatives in the midst of ongoing business transformation efforts. "And this is produced at one of our refineries in Plaju. So this is part of the development of products for a transition to environmentally friendly energy," said Eko.
