US-ASEAN Business Council Delegation Visits Cambodia to Strengthen Trade Ties and Expand Investment

The U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh proudly hosted the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council delegation during their annual visit to Cambodia from July 21-22, 2026. This visit connected leading American companies with senior Cambodian government officials, focusing on expanding trade and investment, increasing market access, and creating new opportunities for American businesses to contribute to Cambodia's economic growth, according to a U.S. Embassy press release. The delegation, led by Ambassador Brian McFeeters, included representatives from companies in the healthcare, manufacturing, energy, financial services, digital technology, and hospitality sectors. These companies represent the best of American offerings, setting global standards for quality, innovation, transparency, and regulatory compliance. When American companies invest or do business in Cambodia, they create jobs, develop local human capital, and strengthen the communities in which they operate. The delegation members and U.S. Embassy leadership have been holding working discussions with senior officials of the Cambodian government, including Prime Minister Hun Manet, President of the Senate Hun Sen, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, as well as officials responsible for trade, health, energy, tourism, and technology. Discussions focused on practical steps to expand bilateral trade, strengthen the business environment, and open new opportunities for American investment and commerce. The delegation is also exploring enhanced cooperation in healthcare, transportation and logistics, digital trade, energy, and mining, ensuring fair market connectivity and responsible supply chains. Chargé d’Affaires of the U.S. Embassy, Aleks Zittle, stated, "The delegation includes industry leaders representing the best of American innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship. Some of these companies have been doing business in Cambodia for many years, while others are exploring new opportunities. Together, they reflect the growth of the U.S.-Cambodia commercial relationship."
