Prabowo Rates Minister Bahlil's Performance as 'Satisfactory,' Cites Room for Improvement

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has given a "satisfactory" assessment of the performance of Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, while also emphasizing that there is still room for improvement. Prabowo made these remarks while attending the 50th birthday celebration and book launch of Minister Bahlil on Friday, August 7. "I continue to assess his work, and I assess that until now I have to give him a satisfactory report," said Prabowo. He jokingly added that a perfect score of 100 is only for God, and that a score of 88 to 89 for a minister is already "satisfactory." However, the President stressed that this assessment is not final, and that there is still time for Bahlil and all other ministers to improve their performance. Prabowo also acknowledged that Bahlil is not just a subordinate but also a "partner" due to his position as the chairman of the Golkar Party. He stated that their cooperation has yielded tangible achievements in areas such as food self-sufficiency, energy management, village bridge construction, school repairs, and health services.
