Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul departed for China on Thursday, aiming to attract investment from major artificial intelligence and technology companies. He is scheduled to attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai and inaugurate a new Board of Investment office in Chengdu. Furthermore, Anutin revealed that Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to meet him and his delegation in Shanghai on July 17. "China is a great friend that has always supported Thailand, whether we ask or not," he said, outlining plans to seek continued support from China in areas of trade, investment, security, and combating lawbreakers.
