Vietnam's Industry and Trade Sector Boosts Growth Through Technological Innovation

The Ministry of Industry and Trade is progressively transforming its approach to science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation (DX) with the aim of creating tangible products, data, and value. The ministry is focusing on improving institutional frameworks, concentrating resources, and enhancing the technological absorption capacity of businesses. Under the principle that "innovation must be the new growth engine," it is providing opportunities for young talent pursuing strategic technological research. Furthermore, in the processing of specialty products from highland regions, transformations are being implemented based on Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the central government. The goal is to strengthen corporate competitiveness through substantive digital transformation. This initiative is part of the economic development strategy outlined by the Communist Party of Vietnam, reflecting efforts to systematically upgrade industries and enhance international competitiveness under the one-party system. Particularly, as relations with China become more complex, bolstering domestic industrial autonomy and technological capabilities holds significant importance for Vietnam's economic security. The government aims to enhance the sustainability of economic growth by supporting the technological advancement of domestic enterprises, alongside attracting foreign direct investment (FDI).
