Cambodia's Ministry of Health Donates Medicine and Medical Supplies to Border Troops

On September 19, Cambodia's Minister of Health, Prof. Chheang Ra, along with leaders from the ministry, visited and delivered donations to the officers and soldiers of the 51st Infantry Division stationed along the border line. During the occasion, the Minister conveyed greetings and well wishes from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, and Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, as well as Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and his wife, Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, to all our heroic soldiers, especially those on duty along the border. For support to the front line, the Ministry of Health provided donations including medicine, medical equipment, wound dressing kits, food supplies, and necessary funds to meet the daily living needs of the troops at the front. On behalf of the Ministry of Health, Prof. Chheang Ra expressed profound admiration and gratitude for the heroism, patriotism, and utmost dedication of the commanders, officers, and soldiers who have sacrificed their physical strength, mental fortitude, flesh, blood, and lives in defense of Cambodia's sovereignty, territorial integrity, nation, and people. He emphasized, "Your heroism is an excellent example for the entire nation and a source of pride for all of us." The Minister further stated that this visit embodies the spirit of unity, cooperation, and close solidarity under the principle of "the rear front supporting the front line." He added that behind the heroic soldiers are the Royal Government, civil servants, staff, and Cambodian citizens from all walks of life, who consistently stand with them, care for their well-being, and remember the sacrifices of the combatants fulfilling their duty of national defense. He continued that the medical team, representing the rear front, serves as a strong shield for health, always standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the soldiers to support them with medical supplies, equipment, medicines, and emergency services, always taking care of their health in all circumstances. During this opportunity, the Minister advised the heroic soldiers to pay close attention to maintaining their health, protecting it, and addressing health issues arising from food poisoning or alcohol intoxication. He urged them to strictly adhere to hygiene practices, wash their hands before eating, store and consume food safely, use sanitary toilets, and especially consume food that is "low in salt, low in fat, and low in sugar," while avoiding tobacco and alcohol. In case of illness or health problems, they should promptly seek examination and treatment at the nearest health facility. For support to the front line, the Ministry of Health provided donations including medicine, medical equipment, wound dressing kits, food supplies, and necessary funds to meet the daily living needs of the troops at the front.
