Yangon, June 30 While artificial intelligence (AI) technology and advanced industrial technologies are rapidly developing worldwide, and various countries are competitively striving to produce human resources with high technological capabilities, coup leader Min Aung Hlaing has instructed that agricultural and livestock farming education be mobilized for Myanmar students to secure their livelihoods. Min Aung Hlaing made these remarks during a meeting with chief ministers of regions and states, chairpersons of self-administered divisions and regions, and responsible officials held in Naypyidaw yesterday, June 29. Min Aung Hlaing stated that in this technological era, young people are showing more interest in industrial and technological subjects. However, he emphasized that agriculture and livestock farming are indispensable fields. Therefore, he said, by teaching agricultural and livestock farming, students should be made to understand that it can greatly benefit their livelihoods, and they should be shown exemplary practices. Furthermore, he instructed that efforts be made to mobilize students to attend industrial, agricultural, and livestock basic education schools more frequently. Min Aung Hlaing said that industrial and agricultural-livestock subjects are being taught in basic education schools, and in the future, human resources needed for various regions will emerge. He also stated that it is necessary to effectively select and implement agricultural and livestock businesses based on the existing regional strengths and natural resources in each region and state, and to carry out other development activities in accordance with regional needs. It is understood that Min Aung Hlaing has ordered and instructed the implementation of tissue banana cultivation projects and dairy cow farming projects in Naypyidaw and various regions/states, and that teachers from basic education schools should participate in the tissue banana and dairy cow projects. Since the military coup in 2021, Myanmar's education sector has been severely impacted, with many teachers from universities and basic education schools participating in the CDM movement, and many students also participating in activities opposing the military coup. Currently, armed conflicts continue to occur across the country, preventing many schools from opening normally, and the education sector continues to face challenges in its recovery, as stated by the terrorist Min Aung Hlaing.
