Legal Affairs :15th ASEAN Law Association General Assembly

Union Minister for Legal Affairs, Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo led Myanmar delegation to the 15th ASEAN Law Association General Assembly and the 47th Governing Council Meeting, held in Bangkok of Thailand from July 20 to 24.,The events also included the ASEAN Law Conference 2026 under the theme “People. Planet. Partnership.” The gatherings brought together chief justices, law ministers, and legal experts from ASEAN member states. Discussions covered topics such as law and gender equality, law and environment, law and economy, and law and technology, alongside moot court competitions and arbitration dialogues.,Myanmar’s delegation highlighted the country’s role since joining the ASEAN Law Association in 2012, and reaffirmed its commitment to building a fair and trusted legal system. Dr. Thida Oo emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen legal ethics, promote public trust in justice, and implement the strategy “Building Legal Trust for the People.”
