President U Min Aung Hlaing Arrives in Laos

A Myanmar high-level delegation led by State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla arrived at Wattay International Airport in Vientiane, Laos, on the morning of July 3rd, local time, for a state-level goodwill visit at the invitation of Lao President Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith. The Myanmar high-level delegation led by State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla was warmly welcomed by senior officials including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Laos and his wife, responsible officials, the Myanmar Ambassador to Laos and his wife, the Military Attaché and his wife, and other responsible officials. The welcome ceremony included a red carpet and a guard of honor, with warm greetings. It is reported that Union Ministers and responsible officials accompanied State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister U Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla on this trip. During the visit, the State Administration Council Chairman is scheduled to meet with the President of Laos and hold bilateral discussions. He is also scheduled to meet with the Prime Minister of Laos and the Chairman of the National Assembly of Laos, as well as receive the provincial governor, it is said. State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister U Min Aung Hlaing and the President of Laos met in Tianjin, China, on September 1, 2025, and discussed matters concerning stability and peace in the border areas between the two countries, the promotion of friendly relations and cooperation between the two governments, the expansion of the tourism and trade sectors, and cooperation between the two armed forces.
