Philippine Coast Guard Repels Chinese Militia Vessel, Boats in South China Sea
The Philippine Coast Guard reported on September 28 that it had driven away a Chinese militia vessel and 24 smaller boats allegedly engaged in illegal fishing near Kota Island in the South China Sea. China claims sovereignty over much of the area.
