Vietnam, Laos Parties Agree to Strengthen Strategic Cooperation

On July 28 in Hanoi, the Organization Commission of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and the Organization Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee held talks and agreed to strengthen comprehensive cooperation between the two parties. During the meeting, the special political trust between the two parties, two states, and two peoples was reaffirmed. This serves as the foundation for the strong friendly relations between Vietnam and Laos. In recent years, the relationship between the two countries has developed as a strategic partnership, and this meeting provided an opportunity to further deepen that cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on sharing experiences in party organization management and human resource development. The Communist Party of Vietnam explained the results of its 14th National Congress to the Lao side, enhancing mutual understanding. Furthermore, General Secretary To Lam of the Communist Party of Vietnam co-chaired a meeting of the top leaders of the three parties of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, indicating the importance of strengthening inter-party cooperation in the region. This meeting reaffirmed the common intention of both parties to cooperate closely in political and organizational aspects and contribute to the socio-economic development of their respective countries. Under Vietnam's one-party system, strengthening the leadership of the party organization is fundamental to state governance, and close cooperation with Laos can be seen as part of Vietnam's foreign policy strategy aimed at stability and development in the region.
