The meeting, held at the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training on July 15, saw Minister Heng Sour warmly welcome Ambassador Sonexay Vannaxay and commend the long-standing friendship and close cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted that Cambodia and Laos have maintained traditional friendship, solidarity, and a good neighborly relationship based on trust and mutual support. The minister highly valued the progress in bilateral relations, especially following the adoption of the Action Plan for Comprehensive and Long-term Strategic Partnership for 2023-2027. Minister Heng Sour also emphasized the importance of TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) programs in promoting economic growth, productivity, and competitiveness. He encouraged strengthening cooperation through the exchange of trainers and experts, and fostering partnerships between institutions of both countries, including the signing of Memoranda of Understanding. He expressed strong confidence that the ambassador's diplomatic tenure will significantly contribute to enhancing the friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between Cambodia and Laos, bringing them closer for the benefit of both nations. He thanked the minister for the constructive and cordial discussion and acknowledged the far-sighted vision of the Cambodian government and the ministry in actively implementing the "Diamond Strategy" Phase I.
