The 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam has concluded its third plenum, adopting several strategic decisions for national development, including reforms in education and efforts to honor fallen soldiers. Under the Party leadership, the aim is to further streamline state operations and improve citizens' lives.
The 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam concluded its third plenum on July 24th. During the session, numerous strategic decisions were adopted for the nation's long-term development. A significant focus was placed on the education sector, with confirmation of personnel changes involving over 20,000 principals and vice-principals as part of school restructuring efforts. This move is intended to optimize the allocation of educational resources and enhance the quality of education. The importance of preserving and remembering the glorious achievements and immense sacrifices of previous generations was underscored. The discovery of a second potential mass grave site for fallen soldiers at Le Thi Rieng Park highlights ongoing efforts to honor and identify war heroes. General Secretary and President To Lam instructed the entire Party and political system to concentrate on five specific tasks following the third plenum. Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed condolences to the residents of Muong Than, signaling a reinforcement of support systems for citizens facing natural disasters and hardships. The election of To Lam as the new President, following the resignation of Vo Van Thuong, is seen as a move to ensure stability and continuity in leadership. Economically, the Prime Minister's emphasis on inheriting and building upon past accomplishments, along with the Politburo's decision to position Dong Nai province as a riverside city and a continental-scale modern aviation hub, indicates future directions for infrastructure development and economic growth strategies. These decisions reaffirm Vietnam's commitment, under the one-party system of the Communist Party, to efficient state management and the improvement of citizens' livelihoods. In particular, Vietnam's strategy to pursue economic growth and expand regional influence, especially in its relations with China, is closely linked to these domestic policies.
