Ex-DPWH Exec's Lawyer: Site Inspections 'Impractical'
The lawyer for a former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) official in Region IV-B stated that it is "impractical" for his client to inspect all projects in the entire region before signing relevant documents, amid discussions on the propriety of projects he was involved in.
MANILA, Philippines — It would be “impractical” for the former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) official in Region IV-B to go and inspect the projects in the entire region before signing pertinent documents, his lawyer said on Thursday. Cecilio Jimeno, lawyer of former DPWH’s Region IV-B planning and design division chief Montrexis Tordecilla, explained that his client oversaw numerous projects across the region. “It’s impractical for him to go and inspect all the projects in the entire region,” Jimeno said. He added that Tordecilla had already signed the documents for the projects. Source: Inquirer NewsInfo
