Lightning Strike Kills Fisherman in Central Vietnam, Causes Widespread Power Outages
A severe thunderstorm in Vietnam's central Quảng Trị province on September 15 resulted in the death of a fisherman from a lightning strike. The lightning also hit power infrastructure, causing a widespread outage affecting over 24,600 customers. Restoration efforts began that night and power was fully restored by the following morning.
