President U Min Aung Hlaing Departs for Thailand

At the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, a Myanmar delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing departed from Nay Pyi Taw by special aircraft on the morning of August 6 for an official visit to Thailand. The Myanmar delegation led by President U Min Aung Hlaing was seen off by Vice President Nan Ni Ni Aye, Speaker of the People's Assembly U Khin Ri, Speaker of the National Assembly U Aung Lin Dway, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services General Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers, and officials from the Thai Embassy in Myanmar. Accompanying the President on this trip were Union Ministers U Khin Maung Ri, U Tin Maung Swe, U Ko Ko Lwin, U Khin Maung Soe, U Htun Ohn, Chief Minister of Kayin State U Saw Myint Oo, Chief Minister of Tanintharyi Region U Zaw Naing Oo, Deputy Ministers, and responsible officials. During the visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to meet with the Thai Prime Minister and hold bilateral discussions, meet with the interim Speaker of the Thai Senate, and receive representatives from business organizations. It is also understood that he will attend the Myanmar-Thailand Economic Forum. It is also understood that during the visit, matters concerning the strengthening of existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Thailand, as well as matters concerning cooperation in economic, cultural, and various sectors between the governments and peoples of the two countries, will be discussed through frank exchanges of views.
