During a meeting at the Kampong Speu Provincial Hall, Governor Dr. Cham Chansophann met with Mr. Zhao WenBo, representative of ZO MOTORS Cambodia. The discussion focused on the company's proposals for "promoting high-standard electric vehicle worker transport buses" and "establishing EV fast charging stations at strategic locations." ZO MOTORS Cambodia outlined its green strategy, emphasizing two key points. Firstly, the introduction of EV worker transport buses with high technical and safety standards to reduce costs and minimize traffic accidents, thereby enhancing the safety and well-being of workers. Secondly, the establishment of EV fast charging stations at key points to provide convenience, comfort, and confidence to EV users. The company requested guidance and facilitation from the provincial administration in selecting suitable locations for these stations. Governor Dr. Cham Chansophann highlighted Kampong Speu's significant role as a "vital economic and industrial hub" of Cambodia, characterized by numerous factories and a large workforce. He also noted the province's strategic geographical advantage, situated at the nexus of major transportation routes like National Road 4 and the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway, with heavy traffic flow. The governor also pointed out the increasing trend of EV adoption within the province and among travelers. The Governor warmly welcomed both of ZO MOTORS Cambodia's projects, deeming them "highly important and essential." He stated that the promotion of high-standard EV worker transport buses would not only protect the lives of workers but also align perfectly with the government's green development policies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment. Dr. Cham Chansophann pledged his full support and instructed the company to collaborate with relevant ministries and departments to conduct swift and detailed studies on geographical locations and technical requirements.
