Ho Chi Minh City Leaders Visit and Honor Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

Ho Chi Minh City is carrying out a series of activities to visit and present gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, severely wounded soldiers, and families with meritorious services, demonstrating respect and gratitude for the sacrifices made in Vietnam's history. This initiative is in commemoration of the 79th anniversary of War Heroes and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27). On July 23, a delegation led by Mr. Bùi Thanh Nhân, Member of the City Party Committee's Standing Board, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, and Chairman of the City Labor Federation, visited Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families with meritorious services residing in various districts of the city. The delegation visited Mothers Bùi Thị Đa (born 1923), Nguyễn Thị Đính (born 1941), Ung Thị Nừng (born 1929), Đặng Thị Út (born 1934), Trương Thị Nhành (born 1920), Phạm Thị Vấn (born 1935), and Mr. Huỳnh Văn Ngọc, a 2/4 wounded soldier. During the visits, Mr. Bùi Thanh Nhân and the delegation members inquired kindly about their health and living conditions, expressing deep gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of the Mothers and families to the cause of national liberation, construction, and defense. They wished the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and wounded soldiers good health and longevity with their children and grandchildren. They also requested that local Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front continue to pay attention to and thoughtfully care for the material and spiritual lives of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families with revolutionary merits. On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City also visited and expressed gratitude to Mother Nguyễn Thị Muôn (born 1926), Mother Đoàn Thị Chèo (born 1932), and Mr. Nguyễn Văn Cầu, a 1/4 wounded soldier. These activities reflect the traditional moral principle of "Drinking water, remember the source" of the Vietnamese people and demonstrate the sentiment and responsibility of the city's Fatherland Front system in "Repaying debts of gratitude," contributing to the dissemination of the nation's beautiful tradition of gratitude.
