Philippines Tightens VAT on Digital Services, Requiring Foreign Providers to Register and Remit

The Philippine Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 59-2026, mandating foreign digital service providers (NRDSPS) to register, collect, and remit 12% Value Added Tax (VAT) on services consumed in the Philippines.
