Mondulkiri Land Office Urged to Expedite Land Registration and Public Services

Mr. Tep Thon, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, has instructed Mr. Tim Monyrot, the newly appointed Director of the Mondulkiri Provincial Land Management Department, to exercise high vigilance and strengthen the provision of rapid public services to citizens. This guidance was given during the ceremony for the new director's assumption of office on August 3, 2026. Mr. Tep Thon emphasized that as the head of the department, he must lead technical officials to perform their duties responsibly, continue to accelerate land registration for citizens, and inspect the actual locations before deciding on any case files. This is to ensure that the location is state land, community land, conservation area, or private land of citizens. He added that signing or approving various documents carries significant responsibility, as careless implementation can lead to land disputes and other administrative problems. He recalled that since 2013, the Ministry of Land Management has resolved over 17,000 land disputes, with only 38 cases remaining, which the ministry is continuing to resolve to achieve complete closure. Concurrently, he instructed the new leadership to strengthen the provision of public services, resolve citizens' issues with transparency, accountability, and efficiency, while maintaining internal solidarity and good cooperation with officials at all levels. For his part, Mr. Kong Kimny, Governor of Mondulkiri Province, urged the new director to strive to serve the people even better, especially by expediting land registration and the issuance of administrative documents in a timely manner to meet the needs of the people and the development of the province. On the occasion, Mr. Tim Monyrot, the new Director of the Mondulkiri Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, pledged to continue registering state land, indigenous community land, social land concessions, and economic land concessions in accordance with the principles of the government and the ministry, as well as strengthening cooperation with relevant departments and institutions to enhance work efficiency. It should be noted that Mr. Tim Monyrot, former Deputy Director of the Department of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of Ratanakiri Province, has been appointed by the Royal Government as the Director of the Mondulkiri Provincial Department of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, replacing Mr. Lim Chansophi, who has retired and will continue his new duties as an advisor to the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction.
