Myanmar-China to Further Promote Media Development in All Sectors

Myanmar and China will further promote cooperation in all sectors for media development, said Deputy Minister of Information U Ye Tint. This was stated during the "2026 Myanmar-China Twin City Media Forum and Myanmar-China Cultural Exchange Week" held on July 28 at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Yangon. This forum is an event that can promote media cooperation between the two countries and is a good opportunity to further strengthen the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries, said Deputy Minister U Ye Tint. He also said that if television programs are broadcast more between the two countries, the friendly relations, mutual understanding, and trust between the peoples of the two countries will be further strengthened. Writer U Hein Lat said that news exchange between Myanmar and China will become stronger and more transparent through this media forum, and the flow of news will become better and smoother. During this forum, a memorandum of understanding on annual media cooperation was signed between Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) and the Yunnan Provincial South Asia and Southeast Asia International Publicity Center, along with other agreements. In addition, a "Myanmar-China Economic Corridor Construction Discussion" program was also held at this forum.
