Agusan Solon Proposes National Soil Strategy Via State Universities

Agusan del Sur 2nd District Rep. Adolph Edward Plaza is pushing for the formulation of a nationwide soil strategy that would be implemented through state universities and colleges (SUCs). Plaza convened agriculture officials, scientists, and academic leaders at the Batasang Pambansa complex on Tuesday to explore a collaborative framework. The strategy aims to enhance agricultural productivity by linking the expertise of SUCs with local soil management practices. This initiative is seen as part of efforts to address the challenges facing the Philippine agriculture sector, particularly soil degradation and the need for sustainable farming practices.
