Mekong, July 11 It is reported that in Man Aung village, Namkham Township, Shan State, northern Myanmar, a village youth group arrested four male drug users during anti-drug activities and handed them over to the TNLA police force. On July 6, the youth group from Man Aung village conducted an investigation related to drugs within the village, leading to the arrest of U Aung Moe, 52, U Yai Toe, 38, U Than U, 31, and U Ai Nai, 48. After arresting the drug users, the village youth group notified the TNLA police force. It is said that the police force conducted further investigations and found that they had used drugs. A local resident of Namkham said, "This is a form of self-initiated anti-drug activity organized by village youth groups. If drug users are caught, they are handed over to the relevant authorities for rehabilitation. There are many villages that carry out such self-initiated activities." The TNLA announced that the arrested drug users will undergo rehabilitation and awareness programs conducted by the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA).
