Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism Promotes 'NoDrug' App for Drug Abuse Reporting

The Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia is implementing concrete measures to enhance drug abuse prevention efforts by promoting the 'NoDrug' mobile application, designed for reporting and disseminating information related to drug issues. Mr. Noun Someth, Secretary of State and Permanent Vice-Chairman of the Ministry's Anti-Drug Committee, acting on behalf of the Minister of Tourism, is leading these initiatives. These measures include strengthening key personnel for drug prevention within provincial and municipal tourism departments, and ensuring strict adherence to the Law on Tourism, the Law on Drug Control, and other relevant legal frameworks. A key focus is to widely promote the use of the 'NoDrug' app among civil servants, business owners, and employees, enabling them to report and receive information on drug-related problems, with a requirement for regular reporting. These measures were announced during a briefing on the 11th Campaign Plan to Combat Illegal Drugs, jointly organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the National Authority for Combating Drugs, held on June 30, 2026. The event was attended in person and remotely (via Zoom) by leaders and officials from units under the Ministry of Tourism and provincial/municipal tourism departments. During the event, Mr. Lao Suvicha, Deputy Director-General and Chairman of the Secretariat of the Ministry's Anti-Drug Committee, presented the results of work in 2025 and the direction for implementation in 2026, as well as Instruction No. 007 on the implementation of the 11th Campaign Plan to Combat Illegal Drugs by the Ministry of Tourism. Brigadier General Yin Yuot, Deputy Director of the Department of Dissemination, Education, and Public Relations, also provided a presentation on the Law on Drug Control and the benefits of the 'NoDrug' mobile application. On behalf of Mr. Meas Virith, Secretary-General of the National Authority for Combating Drugs, Major General Nhak Yuthea, Deputy Secretary-General, conveyed the gratitude and commendation from His Excellency Dr. Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the National Authority for Combating Drugs.
