Wanam Targets New Food Barn in Papua, First Harvest Expected in November

The Wanam area in Merauke, South Papua, is being developed as a national food estate. The Ministry of Public Works is accelerating irrigation infrastructure development, with the first rice harvest from approximately 40 hectares expected in early to mid-November, yielding an estimated 240 tons. This initiative is part of President Prabowo's commitment to strengthen national food security.
