Police also confiscated a motorcycle without a plate number, which is believed to have been used in the suspects’ alleged illegal activities, as well as a mobile phone that investigators will examine for possible evidence of drug transactions. Police identified the two suspects as high-value individuals (HVIs) in the illegal drug trade, a classification that counts alleged drug traffickers, financiers, and members of drug syndicates. In a separate operation, police serving a search warrant arrested a suspect identified as alias “Jessie” in Barangay Angeles Zone IV, Tayabas City, on Monday morning. Authorities recovered three sachets containing suspected shabu valued at P40,800, an unlicensed caliber .45 pistol, two magazines, 15 rounds of ammunition, and a caliber .38 revolver which was loaded with 10 rounds. Also on Monday, police served another search warrant against a suspect identified as alias “Carlos” in Barangay Bulakin I, Dolores, at around 9 a.m. Seized from the suspect were two sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P20,672 and an unlicensed caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven rounds of ammunition. Police identified Carlos as a street-level drug personality on their watch list. All four suspects will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Jessie and Carlos will also be charged with illegal possession of firearms.
