Vietnam Honors International Intellectual Heritage, Focuses on Domestic Development

Vietnam is honoring its international intellectual heritage while focusing on domestic socio-economic development. The country is seeing international recognition for its scholars, with UNESCO adopting a resolution to commemorate the 300th birth anniversary of Le Quy Don, a distinguished Vietnamese scholar and cultural figure. This acknowledges his intellectual legacy, commitment to practical learning, and humanistic values as part of humanity's shared cultural heritage. In rural development, the province aims to have four communes recognized under new-style rural area development standards by the end of 2026, while reducing its household poverty rate to 2% from 2.68% by the end of 2025. In infrastructure, maintenance teams in Ha Tinh and Nghe An provinces are conducting day-and-night inspections of the power supply network using thermal cameras and drones. This effort ensures stable electricity supply for businesses, supporting the government's economic growth targets. Furthermore, Vietnam is prioritizing information literacy. A campaign is underway to promote the habit of verifying online information before believing or sharing it, encouraging citizens to check sources, context, and authenticity. These endeavors highlight Vietnam's strategy to balance international engagement with domestic foundational strengthening and quality of life improvements. Under its one-party system, Vietnam continues to pursue its socialist development model, striving for both economic growth and social stability.
