A meeting of the Committee for Protection, Prevention, and Suppression of Natural Resource Offenses in Kampong Thom province, Cambodia, distributed a notification regarding the 2026 fishing ban period. Supplies such as food and fuel were also provided to forces engaged in crackdowns during this period, underscoring a commitment to eradicating illegal fishing. Illegal fishing activities were reported to have decreased by 70-80% over the past year.
