Da Nang Discovers Numerous Martyr Remains in Stone Collapse Cave, Returning Home After Over 50 Years

In Da Nang City, central Vietnam, the remains of numerous soldiers (liệt sĩ) who perished over 50 years ago have been discovered deep within the Stone Collapse Cave. This discovery opens the path for their return home after decades of search efforts. The Da Nang City Military Command's search and collection team initiated the operation to find and gather the remains in the Stone Collapse Cave. This effort is part of a broader national campaign across Vietnam to identify and repatriate the remains of fallen soldiers to their families. The large-scale "500 Days and Nights Campaign," as it is also known, focuses not only on collecting remains but also on their identification through DNA analysis. Vietnam Post has also contributed to the operation's efficiency by assisting in the transportation of DNA samples from relatives. To date, the "500 Days and Nights Campaign" has achieved steady results towards its goal of identifying and returning the remains of martyrs to their homeland.
