Myanmar-Bangladesh discuss trade expansion

Myanmar's Ambassador to Bangladesh, U Kyaw Soe Moe, met with the Commerce Minister of Bangladesh on August 2nd and discussed matters related to expanding trade between Myanmar and Bangladesh, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, discussions were held on expanding trade of goods such as agricultural products, aquatic products, rice, and medicines between the two countries, promoting maritime transport, importing liquefied natural gas (LNG), and repatriating displaced persons. Furthermore, discussions were also held on resuming the suspended Joint Trade Committee meetings and meetings between the foreign ministries of the two countries, the statement said. Photo: MOFA
