Cambodia, Thailand Select UNCLOS Conciliators; 30 Days to Agree on Chair

Cambodia and Thailand have each appointed two conciliators for a compulsory reconciliation process under the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) concerning their overlapping maritime claims. Both nations now have 30 days to agree on a fifth member to chair the body, which will oversee the resolution of disputes in an area estimated to hold up to $300 billion in energy assets.
