Kambol District Authorities Continue Beautification Efforts Along National Road 4

Authorities in Kambol District, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, are continuing their efforts to beautify and clean public spaces and drainage channels along National Road 4. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure a clean and pleasant living environment for residents and to enhance the urban landscape. On July 24, under the leadership of Deputy District Governor Trieh Nareth, officials from the departments of Public Works, Transportation, Sanitation, Environment, and Public Order, in collaboration with commune authorities, village working groups, and relevant forces, carried out cleaning activities. These included clearing the sidewalks of public gardens and removing garbage, as well as excavating soil and waste from the mouths of drainage channels along National Road 4 within the Kantoak commune of Kambol District. Deputy Governor Trieh Nareth explained that the objective of these activities is to improve the city's aesthetics, ensure a clean and hygienic environment, and guarantee the smooth functioning of the drainage system to reduce water congestion and flooding issues during the rainy season. He further stated that environmental cleaning and public infrastructure maintenance will continue to be implemented regularly, in accordance with the district administration's plans and the attention of the leadership, to ensure order and a good environment for all citizens. Concurrently, the authorities are appealing to all citizens and business owners to participate in maintaining hygiene, disposing of waste properly, refraining from dumping soil or waste into drainage systems, and collectively preserving the environment to make Kambol District more beautiful and livable.
