Relief Measures: Provision for flood victims and embankment repair

Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw on Sunday provided rice and basic food supplies to flood-affected residents in Laymyethna Township, Hinthada District. The Chief Minister met flood victims, provided encouragement, and coordinated necessary support, including communication services, fuel supplies, solar power and generators for local residents and rescue teams. The Chief Minister later visited relief camps in Khat Tu Village-tract, where he inspected health care services for flood victims and provided rice, instant noodles, drinking water and other food items. The Chief Minister also inspected flood protection and embankment repair works at the damaged section of the Nga Wun River embankment. Officials reported on ongoing measures, including placing geo-bags, sandbags and other materials to reduce water flow and prevent further erosion. The Chief Minister instructed officials to expedite the repair works and provided the needs.
