Phnom Penh, Cambodia – Fujian Jinlu Daily Chemical Co., Ltd., a major Chinese chemical enterprise, has expressed its interest in investing in the establishment of a household goods production factory in Cambodia. This was revealed during a meeting between Prime Minister Hun Manet and Mr. Fu Laifa, the company's Director responsible for Southeast Asian affairs, on July 15, 2026. Jinlu Company is a leading manufacturing enterprise specializing in the production of various daily household goods, including insecticides, laundry detergents, toilet paper, and a range of kitchenware. Mr. Fu Laifa informed the Prime Minister that, recognizing Cambodia's robust potential, the company intends to invest in setting up a production plant for household goods within the country. In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the company's intention to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia. He emphasized that the Cambodian government is giving high priority and actively encouraging domestic production to reduce complete reliance on imported products. He noted that this aligns with the company's interest in establishing a production chain for household goods to supply the domestic market. Furthermore, the Prime Minister suggested that if the investment project is successful and grows, the company could not only meet Cambodia's market demands but also potentially export its finished products to markets in other countries within the region.
