Hun Manet's Deputy Praises Ministry of Education, Wishes Success to All High School Exam Candidates

Cambodia's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service, Hun Manet, has praised the preparations for the high school exit examinations (Bak Doup) and extended his best wishes for success to all candidates. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a new school building at Samrong Primary School in Takeo province, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation to the leadership and relevant officials of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport for their dedication in organizing the exams, which are scheduled to commence tomorrow. "I would like to take this opportunity to commend and thank the esteemed academicians, leaders, civil servants, national and sub-national staff, the Anti-Corruption Unit, local authorities, armed forces, the families of the Cambodian Youth Federation Union (CYC), and all relevant parties who are diligently fulfilling their duties in preparing for the high school exit examinations tomorrow," stated the Deputy Prime Minister. In addition to praising the working group, he also conveyed warm wishes to the students who are candidates, hoping they will maintain good health, strong spirits, complete their preparations, and achieve success in this important examination. According to data from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the high school exit examination, scheduled for August 10, 2026, will utilize a total of 244 examination centers and 6,104 classrooms, with 151,128 registered candidates, including 84,735 females. Candidates for the science stream number 37,445 (22,193 females) and will use 68 centers with 1,526 classrooms. For the social science stream, there are 113,793 candidates (62,542 females), requiring 176 centers with 4,578 classrooms. The examination is expected to proceed under the principles of law, transparency, and justice to ensure the quality of education in Cambodia.
