A car accident occurred on National Road 4 in Kampong Speu province, Cambodia, resulting in three individuals sustaining injuries. The incident took place around 8:50 PM on September 15, 2026, along National Road 4, between kilometer posts 95-96, in Sral village, Yai Mao Petch Nil commune, Phnom Srouch district. According to district police, a white SsangYong passenger car, bearing license plate Phnom Penh 2I-8170, was traveling from east to west. The driver, Chum Sothea, 35, along with two passengers, Meng Chantey, 54, and Yan Bona, 43, were in the vehicle. Authorities reported that the car experienced a front left tire blowout while in motion. This caused the driver to lose control, leading the vehicle to veer off the road and fall into a ditch on the south side. As a result, Meng Chantey and Yan Bona sustained serious injuries, while the driver, Chum Sothea, suffered minor injuries. The injured were promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment. The vehicle sustained significant damage. Police have secured the vehicle at the Yai Mao Petch Nil commune police station pending further investigation and legal proceedings.
