The National Unity Government (NUG) In an exclusive interview with Mizzima, Minister for Health-NUG Dr. Shwe Pone stated that the NUG had completed building 10 underground hospitals all across Myanmar. Ministry of Social, Labour and Humanitarian Affairs-NUG stated that earthquakes with Richter Scale 5.2 and 4.1 had hit near Naungcho in Shan State and near Sintku in Mandalay Region respectively on Friday morning. Ministry of Defence-NUG stated that they had seized 9 junta camps in June and up to 644 junta soldiers had died in the fighting. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among the junta soldiers including officers. Under Karen National Union, Karen National Defence Organization (KNDO) celebrated their anniversary at their headquarters. In Buthidaung Township of Arakan State, the ULA/AA has continued their support of food to flood victims. In Mone Township of Bago Region, the junta army had conducted an aerial bombing. According to KNU, 2 civilians lost their lives and 2 shops were damaged. The Military Junta On July 6, 2026, the junta’s Ministry of Finance and Revenue issued a new notification on Export and Import Compliance Procedures, in which imports without a license could end up in 3-year imprisonment depending on the types of commodities. The junta’s newspapers claimed that the military junta had regained complete control over Thantlang in northern Chin State. The junta’s Minister for Electricity and Energy said that the ministry is developing an optimal electricity generation mix based on domestic energy resources. The junta’s Deputy Minister for Electricity and Energy said that they had plan to continue implementing Manipur Hydro-Power Project in Kalay Township of Sagaing Region via JV/ BOT upon peace and security of the area. The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing inaugurated the Institute of Nursing in Naypyidaw alongside several regional and state institutes.
