Vietnam Enhances Global Presence Through Multilateral Diplomacy, BRICS Participation, and Strengthened Ties

Vietnam attaches great importance to its special solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Cuba, and believes the Cuban Party, State and people will achieve new successes in national development, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Cuba Le Quang Long. Vu Hai Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for National Defence, Security and External Relations, highlighted the Cuban Revolution as a shining symbol of the struggle for national independence, sovereignty and social justice worldwide. More than 470 tonnes of rice grown in Cuba from Vietnam's OM5451 variety were handed over to Cuban partner GRANMAX at a ceremony in Havana on August 4, marking the first harvest delivered by Vietnamese agricultural company TBAgri under a joint Vietnam–Cuba rice production project. Vietnam and India are among the world's fastest-growing economies and have highly complementary strengths, with substantial untapped potential for cooperation. Over the past year, it has emerged as an increasingly important economy and a notable manufacturing hub, particularly in textiles and garments, electronics and other industries.
