Balinese Traditional Leaders Meet Presidential Staff Office, Urge Prabowo to Expedite North Bali Airport

Traditional leaders, known as Raja Adat (traditional rulers) and Sultans from Bali, visited the Presidential Staff Office (Kantor Staf Presiden, KSP). They urged President-elect Prabowo Subianto, who will succeed Joko Widodo, to expedite the realization of the North Bali International Airport construction project. This request aims to foster economic development in Bali, particularly the revitalization of economic activities and further promotion of the tourism industry in the northern region. Currently, Bali's primary international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport near Denpasar, which has limitations in terms of accessibility to the northern areas and the diffusion of economic benefits. The realization of the North Bali International Airport is expected to lead to balanced regional economic development and the opening of new tourist routes.
