Cambodia People's Party Expands Local Branches, Welcomes 648 New Members
The Cambodia People's Party (CPP) inaugurated a new party branch office in Sndeck commune, Bathiei district, Kampong Cham province, and officially welcomed 648 new members. Party officials emphasized the importance of supporting members, providing public services, and maintaining security.
The Cambodia People's Party (CPP) on the morning of August 1, 2026, held an official inauguration ceremony for the CPP commune office in Sndeck commune, Bathiei district, Kampong Cham province, and announced the induction of 648 new members. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Aun Chanda, a member of the CPP Central Committee and Chairman of the Kampong Provincial Party Committee; H.E. Khlot Phon, a member of the Central Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee; H.E. Nguon Sochiat, a Member of Parliament for the Kampong Cham constituency and Vice Chairman of the working group for Bathiei district; and H.E. Di Panya, Vice Chairman of the working group for Bathiei and Cheung Prey districts. During his remarks to the members, H.E. Aun Chanda urged the local party leaders and the core working group in Bathiei district to pay high attention to fostering party member activities and to assist and coordinate with party members whenever they have needs, requests, or encounter various problems. He specifically emphasized linking these efforts to the provision and reception of public services, which are essential daily needs. Furthermore, he called for the continued strengthening of public security, safety, and order. H.E. Aun Chanda stated that building party membership at the local level is an important task that requires increased attention to doing good deeds. All party activities must adhere to the spirit of acting for the benefit of the party and the people, in order to build a stronger force to achieve victory in future elections. A representative of the new CPP members pledged to diligently implement the party's political program, statutes, and internal regulations. They specifically expressed full support for Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the CPP, and Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, in defending territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
