Vietnamese Intellectuals in Poland Contribute to Vietnam's Science and Technology Development

The conference titled “Vietnamese Intellectuals in Poland with the Cause of Developing Vietnam's Science and Technology,” organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland, is a practical activity aimed at concretizing the Party and State's guidelines and policies on developing science and technology and leveraging overseas Vietnamese resources for national development. This conference provides an opportunity for Vietnamese intellectuals residing in Poland to contribute to the development of Vietnam's science and technology sector. Participants exchanged views on the current state and challenges of Vietnam's science and technology, as well as the potential for collaboration with Poland's advanced technologies and research environment. During the conference, strengthening cooperation between Vietnam and Poland in the fields of standards, metrology, and quality was on the agenda. This is an essential element for improving the quality of Vietnamese products and enhancing their competitiveness in the international market. Discussions also covered the multifaceted promotion of friendly cooperative relations between the two countries at the local level, with expectations for deeper cultural exchange and economic cooperation. Furthermore, opportunities for building partnerships to expand the export of Vietnamese products to the Polish and European markets were explored. This is conducive to the growth of the Vietnamese economy and the enhancement of its international presence. Under its one-party system, Vietnam pursues state-led economic growth, with the development of science and technology positioned as one of its crucial pillars. In recent years, while economic ties with China remain strong, Vietnam is also seeking to strengthen relations with European countries to diversify geopolitical risks. As a member of the European Union (EU), Poland can be an important partner for Vietnam.
