Vietnamese Rescue Team Finds 15 Bodies in Venezuela Earthquake, Receives Local Gratitude

Vietnam's rescue team continues its search operations in the disaster-stricken areas of Venezuela following the dual earthquake disaster. On July 3 (local time), search teams split into multiple units to search for victims believed to still be trapped in the Playa Grande area of La Guaira state. As a result, 15 more bodies were discovered and recovered. Venezuela has expressed deep gratitude for this humanitarian aid effort. Venezuela's interim president awarded medals to the search dog team of the Vietnam Border Guard. Additionally, Venezuelan authorities issued a statement praising international rescue teams and sent a letter of thanks to Vietnam's General Secretary and President To Lam. These actions symbolize the solidarity and friendly relations between Vietnam and Venezuela. Since the disaster, Vietnam has dispatched rescue teams and search dogs to contribute to victim search and rescue operations. The rescue team from the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security has discovered multiple bodies so far, and their activities have been reported by local media.
