Battambang Governor Inspects Cattle Farm Boosting Local Beef Supply

Battambang Provincial Governor Sok Lu inspected a large-scale beef and breeder cattle farm in Bannon district, Battambang province. The farm, currently raising over 4,000 cattle, is being praised for its efforts to supply the market, and the governor encouraged continued dedication to meet beef demand. The inspection took place on September 4, 2026. The farm is located in Prey Phdau village, Ta Krame commune, Bannon district, Battambang province, on a 60-hectare plot of land. The farm owner, operating under the brand name RPRU, stated that the farm was established in 2022, is duly registered with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and holds a certificate recognizing it as a disease-free farm nationwide. Starting with only 400 cattle, the farm has now bred and raised over 4,000 head and plans to reach 6,000 by the end of 2026. In 2025, the farm had over 1,000 breeder cows and artificially inseminated cows, continuously producing calves for the beef production chain. The owner further noted that favorable beef prices in the market have motivated the farm to continue its operations. They expressed gratitude to the provincial governor and relevant ministry officials for their attention, support, and encouragement to supply sufficient beef to meet market demand.
